Rental agreement                    (standard legal Dominican car - rental contract)

1.     Only the person whose name appears on this contract and to whom the vehicle has been rented will operate it. Permitting any other person to drive the vehicle cancels all insurance provisions, making renter liable for all damage.

2.     The vehicle shall never be driven within 12 hours after driver has been drinking, no matter the amount of alcohol.

3.     Vehicle shall never be raced, shall never be used to push or tow another vehicle, shall not be used to instruct another driver, and shall only be operated on paved roads.

4.     gasoline shall be at the expense of the renter

5.     Car shall be returned on day and hour specified by the rental company. Failure to do so will make the car overdue and subject to police seizure at any time without lessening the responsibility of the renter for all charges and damages. If one wishes to rent the Car for beyond time originally contracted, renter shall return to the rental office and make an additional deposit in order to keep the vehicle longer, if the car is not being held for another reservation.

6.     The customer is not authorized to contract for parts or repairs on behalf of the rental company.

7.     In case of an accident, the renter shall notify the rental company immediately. (24hr phone is on the contract). The renter shall not abandon the vehicle at any moment, to safeguard vehicle an all accessories. Failure to comply fully with each particular of this paragraph will annul all insurance and make renter fully liable for all damage and for rental charges during the days the car is being repaired. The person who rented the car will always pay for the deductible of 1000 US$ in case of an accident.  

8.    Unlimited mileage!

9.     Customer shall return vehicle to the rental company in the same condition as received.

10. Any fines shall be reported to the rental company and settled at the end of the rental.

11. The rental company provides legal liability and property damage insurance an all of its vehicles.  

12. In case of mechanical problems, a mechanic comes to the spot to repair the vehicle, and replace it if it is not repairable on the spot.

13. All authorized drivers must be 25 or older and licensed.

14. Over due cars will be reported to the police as stolen.
